Teck Trail Operations Completes New Acid Plant

Trail, BC– Teck Trail Operations has completed construction of the No. 1 Acid Plant, which has now commenced operation and is operating at design rates. The new acid plant improves environmental performance, operational reliability and reduces downtime and maintenance costs. The new plant is expected to reduce sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions from Trail Operations by up to 15 percent.

The No. 1 Acid Plant replaces two older plants on the zinc processing side of the operation.
